Purpose

This article gives the steps to install RPMForge repository on Enterprise Linux.


Download RPMforge RPM

http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/

RHEL5 - CentOS5

wget http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/i386/dag/RPMS/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el5.rf.i386.rpm
x86_64
wget http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/x86_64/dag/RPMS/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm
RHEL6 - CentOS6
i386
wget http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el6/en/i386/dag/RPMS/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.i686.rpm
x86_64
wget http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el6/en/x86_64/dag/RPMS/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm


Install DAG GPG Key

rpm --import http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/RPM-GPG-KEY.dag.txt


Install RPMForge RPM

  • Verify downloaded RPM package and GPG key
rpm -K rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm
  • Install RPMForge Release RPM
rpm -ivh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm


List Packages Installed from RPMForge

yumdb search from_repo rpmforge
